Hard work pays off for Invicta employee Sam Rodgers as he celebrates passing his Level 3 apprenticeship

Congratulations to Invicta employee Sam Rodgers who has successfully completed his Level 3 apprenticeship in Welding and Metal Fabrication.

Sam started at the company’s North Yorkshire-based factory in 2019 and is now a fully-fledged member of the skilled manufacturing team that turns out thousands of Invicta products each year.

“I came to Invicta with a background in joinery so was keen to learn a new set of engineering-based skills that would benefit this turn in career,” said Sam.

“I decided to enrol on the apprenticeship scheme run by the Derwent Training Association in Malton, which enabled me to combine College-based study while continuing with my employment at Invicta.”

Three and a half years later, Sam has graduated with flying colours and during this time has been able to take on more and more tasks at work thanks to this higher-level training.

“The apprenticeship scheme has enabled me to acquire nationally recognised qualifications which apply directly to a real-life work environment.

“The company has been very supportive of my studies and I have learnt a lot from other members of the Invicta team as well as fellow learners on the course,” said Sam.

Martin Brown, Invicta’s Managing Director, added: “We are all extremely proud of Sam’s achievements. His work is outstanding, and the business has greatly benefitted from his growing knowledge and experience.

“Investment in staff training is one of our top priorities and we continually seek to improve the skill levels of all staff whether they are manufacturing products on the factory floor, dealing with customer accounts or providing sales support. A company is only as good as those who work in it and we are very lucky to have such a skilled and dedicated team.”
